Online resources for you and your children during self-isolation
Many parents are struggling to help their children feel safe, secure and happy at home while trying to juggle demands from employers to work at home and be productive. This juggling act becomes harder by tenfold if you have a child with special needs or a young child whose school is not providing online classes.
Although as parents we are usually limiting time on screens, at this moment it seems like a good idea to make the most of the best screens have to offer, and take advantage of all the suggestions for activities we can find, on screen and around your home. In that spirit, KidsAttuned is assembling a resource list of learning materials parents and teachers can access online to provide children with fun activities that promote learning, and hopefully, some can be engaged in independently.
To date KidsAttuned has not screened these resources, as parents will know the individual unique needs and interests of their children and be in the best position to peruse and choose. Here’s a beginning list. The intention is to add to this list regularly as long as the Corona virus (COVID-19) keeps us at home.
